Since we had made the effort to come all the way out to this area, I did a search for ramen spots my son would love! One place I just couldn't forget was Silverlake Ramen — I had heard so much about it but never had the chance to visit until now. I am generally a shoyu person through and through, so no matter which ramen restaurant I go to, I always order the shoyu. However, this place is supposedly famous for its tonkotsu. Had Silverlake Ramen out in Chino Hills and was pretty subpar. When I heard this was the original location, I had to visit to check it out. My wife and I visited on a busy Saturday evening and it was as you would expect. It was super busy, about a 20-30 minute wait even after getting on the Yelp waitlist via our phones early. Parking - Valet, currently $7.00 but we decided to park a bit further away and walked over. Free parking on streets but some are metered parking. So parking here is pretty limited and a bit hectic. I love coming to this location! The parking is $7 but parking is also accessible down the neighborhood. Their combos are a really good deal, I totally recommend. My favorite is the shoyu on fire ramen paired with either the gyoza or the edamame (the spicy one is Soo good!!). I recommend signing up via Yelp to reserve your seats. The staff is always VERY friendly & hardworking. Thank you so much to our waitress Kat, she was very attentive and provided a great experience.
