Right when you walk in you notice the woman calling out the numbers. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but man I'd love to have her on my team. She takes so much pride in her job. She's happy, excited to be there and super welcoming. Makes you want to be there, I hope the management there takes very good care of her. Employees like her are rare to come by. The restaurant overall is clean, organized and the service was real quick for it being lunch on Sunday. Typically when I get my garden dogs it takes a bit at other Portillos, but here it was quick. No matter what location you're at whether it's lunchtime or dinner, Portillo's always delivers the goods. Possibly the most popular Chicago grill experience in history. Always a clean & kickin' atmosphere with delicious grub at still fair prices and friendly service. Can't say I've had anything here that I didn't like and the food always comes out hot n' fresh in a timely manner no matter how busy they are. This location is at an ideal spot located just a few seconds south of Old Orchard Mall. As always, I certainly hope for decades to come of boomin' business for the owner(s) of this bustli

A Chicagoland icon. This Portillo’s has the friendliest workers and a fun, retro atmosphere. The walls are covered with portraits and posters that take you back in time. Portillo’s is known for their Italian beef sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers, but their greatest creation has to be the gluttonous cake shake. It is literally an entire slice of their decadent chocolate cake mixed into ice cream to come together as a drink that will take you out for the rest of the day. I was able to taste the seasonal Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake Shake, which was life changing. The milkshake was creamy,

Integrity, virtues, consistency. These are 3 things this place inequitably does not have. Go to your local Buona for a better beef that doesn’t got a bunch of added chemical bullshit and is justly priced. Go to red hot ranch for a cheaper and better burger that isn’t coming from a frozen sheet of parchment. Head to chick fil a or even Wendy’s and McDonald’s for better chicken tenders and sandwiches. Go to cane’s if you want a truly tasty fast food sauce. Head to Freddy’s if you want a milkshake. Bake a cake that’s 10x better than Portillo’s cake for less. Current Portillo’s serves no purpose
