We stopped by have a couple snacks and the beer cheese was really good. Love the fact that it's not a chain and locally owned. Asked some questions and was very pleased to find out that the owner is ex-military with a cooking background and was told he is welcoming and accepting to us kind of people, whom are a lesbian couple with me having disabilities a service dog. We were just passing through town, but this would most definitely be a regular spot. Highly recommend. First visit to the Tree House and will most definitely return. I had the chef salad and it was loaded with the meat toppings. I don't like onions, tomatoes or dressing and without those items it was still excellent. My husband had one of the Philly options with tator tots that are not pre-seasoned. Tots were not greasy and were very crisp. My son had the cowboy cheeseburger and garlic fries and said it was amazing. The place was clean and staff was attentive and friendly. We went on a Friday at noon in the summer (it is located right off of ISU campus).

Overall the place was nice, service was really slow. I saw a couple walk out after not getting service. I ordered a chili dog and it took almost an hour to get it and when I did the bread was soggy. The fries that I had to pay extra for were terrible. Only thing saving this place was the drinks. I think it was $9 for a 32ounce cocktail. The specials rotate but are a good deal.

Great food, ( especially the tots)great atmosphere. The owner is very personable. He comes out too make sure everything is good. Very good music not overbearing so you can have a conversation and enjoy the food and a drink. It is great place, also family friendly. Highly recommend this place. Go eat Italian sub so he will keep it on the menu. One of the best around if not the best oh yeah get potato tots with it. Also, the big tree burger is very good and filling.
