Lager Heads GOOD: The burgers and fries, the service was also wonderful. BAD: Not much, a little pricey but if you stick to the sandwiches, given it's beach town, the value is reasonable. Other menu items get into the 30s quick and appetizers are steep. Lager Heads was on the agenda from some restaurant research. Lager Heads is a solid choice if you’re in Virginia Beach and want a decent burger. Nothing overly upscale or out-of-the-box, but satisfying enough to hit the spot. Half our table got old, lukewarm fries, but our wonderful waitress Katherine noticed right away and brought us a huge pile of fresh ones—which were so good I almost wish she hadn’t because I couldn’t stop eating them. Dang this place is awesome as far as outdoor seating, service, and live music go- couldn’t ask for much better. The food just didn’t meet the standard. I’ll start with the crab stuffed flounder- very bland, the rice was the same - the asparagus however was the highlight. It seemed like no spices or flavoring was used for the latter. Secondly, the signature crab cake app is just a crab cake with a lemon and a taste of sauce. A creative way to charge more for a crab cake and no way worth the 18$.
