A SoCal kid that has run away to the PNW. Every time I visit, you can find me here in Mom’s Kitchen gettin’ FED. Every visit has been wonderful, today doubly so. Monica P. served us with speed, a smile, precision and insight. Just a real nice lady. La viejita in the kitchen? I had breakfast at a small historical spot called Mom’s the other day, and it was a great experience. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere had a cozy, nostalgic charm. Kudos to both the cook and the waitress for making the visit memorable! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the history in the building—but despite its age, everything is well-kept, especially the bathrooms, which were impressively clean. Decided to take my lady to breakfast this morning. She searched on line and found Mom's kitchen. We got there early enough (before the crowd) to sit comfortably inside for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast sliders (sausage egg and cheese on biscuit with side of gravy and hash browns. She had Chilequiles, it tasted good also. If sitting on a hard wooden chair is a bit difficult for you, I do recommend bringing a chair pad for a bit of comfort. Folks are nice, work hard, and tend well for the customers. I also noticed this building is a very old one and has history.
