Walnut Tree Restaurant is a small, cozy spot that’s definitely geared more toward takeout, but if you grab a table, it’s a nice quiet place to enjoy your meal. I really enjoyed the fried rice, the three meat noodle dish, and the broccoli beef—those were all flavorful and satisfying. The orange chicken had a bit of an interesting taste, not bad, just a little different from what I expected. The staff stood out the most—courteous, friendly, and quick, which made the whole experience smooth and welcoming. Several years ago I came here and wasn't that impressed. I recently decided to come here again to try other items. I'm the past month I've tried several dishes and each time I've been pretty impressed. So the last time I was here the portions were a lot smaller. Now the portions are bigger, the taste is great and value is awesome. I've tried the mapo tofu, tomato beef, Mongolian Beef daily specials and today I tried the Wor Wonton Soup. we've been to eat twice now. first for dinner we got the green beans and pork chop with spicy salt. everything was fresh and delicious. then we went for the lunch special that's under $10 dollars for soup, egg roll, wonton, you choice of entree and rice. it's pretty amazing to find a lunch special for that price and have the food be nutritious and wholesome. I will say the food is traditional don't come here looking for a sterile americanized version. It's delicious and this small family owned business deserves more traffic
