Had an amazing experience at Thaif! Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. Pork ribs with blueberries was so well made and delicious .The meatballs with tomato sauce and warm pita were incredibly comforting, the crispy pork dishes had the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the shishito peppers with watermelon were addictively good. What a gem of a restaurant. Traif is famous for its chef’s tasting menu, but this isn’t the over-the-top kind that’ll set you back several hundred dollars. It’s more Brooklyn casual, fun, and much more affordable, which makes it such a great experience. Not every dish totally hit the mark, but there were more than enough winners to make me want to come back. The standout of the night was a scallop served over a delicious risotto—easily my favorite bite. We had a 8:30 reservation last night at Traif, and we couln't recommend this restaurant more. We went for the tasting menu, which was excellent. The endives salad at the beginning was the highlight, followed by the nearly buttery chicken wings in the middle, and succulent pork ribs to finish. However, what really stood out last night was the service. Both gentleman were doing great job, however the bartender/sommelier went above and beyond from the start to make our experience exceptional, and we would like to give him a shout out.
