Great brunch menu - really really delicious food. I was a little worried that the sweet potato pancakes would be heavy and that the breakfast sausage was the same stuff I could buy in the frozen food section. But I was happily surprised at the wonderfully light and fluffy (and not overly sweet) pancakes with amazing hand pressed sausage. I live in Boston these days and no longer eat grits (ha!). If you are hungover in Wilmington, NC, you should consider stopping by and trying to cure that hangover from the liquid-filled previous night- stop in to the Dixie Grill and your earthly troubles will be resolved. I have been coming here for years, and when I got the chance to return to Wilmington for a visit, I jumped at the chance to get a seat. Absolutely the best breakfast experience in Wilmington! Get there as early as possible unless you want serious lines. It’s popular for a reason. They’re also serving dinner now. Breakfast for dinner! Yes please! I’ve tried most everything on their breakfast menu and it’s all delicious. For lunch/dinner, I’ve had Reuben and breakfast burgers. Amazing. Always consider their specials too. This waffles plate was next level. I saw they’re doing cool events now too. They have theme trivia night on Thursdays. I went to the reality TV one and had a blast. They have a full bar with awesome service.

The waitresses were fantastic and the food is amazing. The rain was extremely heavy that morning and I arrived with my luggage so I could head to the airport after breakfast. Luba and Emily were so kind and caring during my visit that I felt like family and they even let me stay in the restaurant a few minutes after they closed because they didn't want me getting soaked to the bone while I waited for my Uber. This was my second visit to the restaurant during my trip to Wilmington and both experiences were great!
