I've went here 2 times so far. The first time was for lunch I ordered the smash burger and I can honestly say it was very good I would definitely recommend. The second visit was for the dinner menu and I got an appetizer which was the fried Green Tomatoes and the entrée was the 10oz filet. The fried green tomatoes were phenomenal I would highly recommend. The filet was good. I would recommend the roasted sweet potatoes and wedge salad!

My husband and I were passing thru Wilson, NC-Forest Hills road in our way home to Virginia when we stumbled upon Jack’s Restaurant. It was not what I was expecting but much better. We were there for lunch. The hostess was very nice and seated us promptly. I had the Starburst martini 🍸 suggested by our wonderful waitress “Natalie”! We both got the Philly steak with Cajun fries which were also a “Natalie” suggestion! She deserves some kudos and a raise. She does her job well…with an amazing smile and superb suggestions! The atmosphere was very nicely decorated and the restrooms were clean.

My husband, who is a steak lover, and I stop here for dinner based on the sites advertisement and reviews. We were celebrating my birthday and the restaurant vibe of casual upscale sounded perfect since we were traveling and spending the night at a local hotel. Our first impression of the decor was disappointing. Metal chairs with plain square tables. No tablecloths. No ambient lighting. Looked similar to a pizza parlor. Not sure were the upscale was. Reservation for 4 people last night for dining room. Upon arrival the hostess asked to seat us in the bar area because it would be cooler in there. It was not. It was extremely hot. That should have been the first red flag to leave and find another place to eat but we had driven to Wilson from Kinston to eat here with friends. We sat down and tried to order drinks.
