A few months ago, after three visits, I gave GOTA four stars. After three additional visits, I would now like to revise my rating. A venue that has won the award for Best Coffee in Europe (and 3rd worldwide) is expected to be exceptional, and GOTA truly lives up to that expectation. First, the coffee. For the regular menu, the beans come from Peru and produce a perfectly balanced and very pleasant espresso, with light fruity notes and a subtle hint of chocolate. Excellent brewing, living up to their title. I did not order a latte, but their latte art seems very good. But that also goes to say that their priority is the quality of the coffee and espresso itself. Food was great too. Had the opportunity to try their avocado toast. I definitely suggest it.

I was very excited to discover a café in Vienna with such a wide coffee selection, so I made a reservation for Sunday morning at 10:30. The place is clearly popular. However, reservations seem to work on a “first table that becomes available” basis. A very polite waiter offered us water while we waited and seated us after about 7 minutes. Unfortunately, service after that was quite chaotic. Although staff were actively moving around, we were overlooked for about 25 minutes. Amazing cafe! My socks were knocked off by how good of an experience I had. The service was something to boast about, like a well oiled machine. They have a team that is friendly, helpful, attentive, and efficient. The coffee and food are so delicious and bursting with flavor. They have an impressive coffee menu with expansive knowledge on coffee roasting. They clearly put thought and effort into every part of this cafe. They even have hilariously large coffee cups as sinks in their bathrooms. This is for sure going on my list of favorites in Vienna.
