On the hunt to find good Thai food in Ottawa, I stumbled upon Sala Thai & based on the reviews I figured it was worth the try. The place itself is nice, ample amount of seating available as well. It was not at all busy when we went. The service was good, food came out in a. Timely manner. The food however was a hit and miss. Starting with Chicken Satey skewers 4/5 peanut sauce was great Tom Yum Soup 1/5 this was our least favourite, it tasted like miso soup, & incredibly salty. Ordered takeout and the food was amazing, portions are great too. The gentleman over at the register even gave me free rice as I thought the Gaeng Pak Tofu comes with the rice. Would definetely come back here! Highly recommended

You will not regret coming here. I have been going for years, always get the chicken pad thai; so much flavour and great combination of sweet and spicy. The soup is also amazing (ask for the chili sauce with it!)

Easily the top Thai place I've been to. Their tom kha goo was superbly flavoured, the spring rolls were definitely handmade and delicious, and the pad kee mao was very good with lots of meat. I feel like this was excellent value for very good quality food (and a lot of it). The servers were very outgoing and polite with quick service. Can't wait to come back.
