This is a cute diner with blazing fast service, but the food just really wasn't great. We ordered the $15 large breakfast meal and split it 2 ways. It was the perfect amount of food. There were a few things on the plate. The potatoes were outstanding - super yummy and not too mushy. The eggs, sausage, and toast were alright. The pancakes were the problem - they didn't taste fresh. We could have sworn that they tasted exactly similar to the pancake mixes where you only have to add water. I lived in Kingston for 6 years and never tried Peter's Place in that time…what a shame!! This place has a classic, greasy-spoon breakfast if you're looking for something cheap, easy and very comfortable. We ordered, ate and paid within 45 minutes (on a holiday Monday) and loved the service and friendly vibe of the place. Mimi was such a kind and quick server; she was amazing! They're clever having cake and desserts displayed…I walked out with 2 peanut butter balls and they were scrumptious. Breakfast was also so yummy!

What a horrible experience! Walked in and waited to be seated. A server arrived and took us to sit in a back area. When I asked to sit elsewhere, as I am claustrophobic, I was told no. We decided to leave and another server saw what happened & offered us another table. The first server came to take our order & as this was our first experience there we asked a couple of questions. She was huffy & not at all helpful. We ordered breakfast, and what came out was a dry omelette & and undercooked eggs beni.
