Food was well flavoured and interesting, remarkably good after over four years of the tourist trade which tends to blunt the best of intent in half that time. Service was friendly and with just the right amount of attentiveness. I dropped a point off atmosphere because there was only one other couple in the room with us so though the room was a nice place to be it was a bit too empty to have much ambiance on this spring equinox lunch time.

This was a gem of a place. Ideally situated on the edge of town but near enough to walk along the canal and into the centre. The food was really beautifully presented and delicious. We sat outside in the garden to eat which couldn’t have been more idyllic. Perfect end to our trip to the Languedoc.

We had an excellent evening at Maison Jullian and will definitely return. The house’s architecture is beautifully enhanced by the tasteful decor, which creates an elegant but relaxed atmosphere. The hosts, Candy and Charles, were very welcoming, the dinner was delicious and the music well done while still allowing easy conversation. We look forward to returning regularly to enjoy this beautiful place.
