Since the change of ownership, the service has unfortunately deteriorated significantly. Experienced employees were laid off and younger ones hired. Unfortunately, there's usually too little staff. Today we went for breakfast; the café was filled with about 15 people, and the tea room with about 20. Only the owner was serving. He seemed, as he had on previous visits to the café, overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. He didn't check if we wanted anything else. We would have liked to have another coffee, but after about 15 minutes of waiting, he finally came because I had to call him. I paid and

Overall, it was okay, but card payments were only accepted for amounts over €10, which I didn't see anywhere outside. When I was finally able to pay by card and wanted to tip the waiter, he told me he wasn't allowed to accept tips with cards. I find that very strange, and he couldn't/wasn't allowed to give me an explanation. Normally, you can tip even when paying by card. I've worked in the restaurant industry myself, and I don't think that's right.
