The food was good. I had chicken salad with tomato sauce. The salad had a lot of salad 😅 but it was good portion overall. They messed up with an order. They gave me Americano but I ordered cappuccino so I needed to tell them that. Cappuccino was okay… not speciality coffee but just good. Huge plus because of latte art on the top. The beer was the best 😎 They have a good view and 2 floors so a lot of space

This review goes across two visits. Once for lunch and once for a late breakfast. Looked to be a decent place, but the paintings were crooked for some inexplicable reason. Not just off a little bit, but purposely hung crooked. I'm sorry, but that takes away from the otherwise cozy atmosphere. Lunch: we ordered a craft mocktail, an avocado and egg bread, and a schnitzel. The schnitzel was good, no real complaints at all. The bread item was... lacking. It was very cold, and wet, and soggy, to our dismay, because the taste itself was good. To be fair, it didn't actually say "toast" on the menu,

Right before heading back home, we were looking for a quick and affordable snack. This place had it all, with a great service on top of it. At a 10 minutes walk from the station in an open area with a nice terrace. It was a nice closure of our stay in Essen.
