This is my favorite restaurant in Essen. Great value and fantastic quality of the food and lovely owners. I also love the special non-alcoholic drinks they serve (e.g. homemade kombucha, kefir, long drinks) See yourself, you will enjoy it!

At the time I was in Essen, I got to know this place when Corona started. Later after the first visit I started to go there often. They make good vegan stuff and as a vegan person you will love the place. They sometimes offer different types of cakes, food etc. It is homemade and the partner run the place themselves. The design and decoration is cute and nice and they made it good. So it has a nice atmosphere and you love it by your visit :-) I tired breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even dinner there and usually on Sundays I was there simply for coffee and cake

Vegan restaurants like "Hummelbude" that actually cook are rare, moreover with organic ingredients (which obviously has a cost!); nowadays, it's so common to find vegan fast-food, Buddha-bowls, wraps and so on. Our dinner was great and enjoyable in a relaxed atmosphere, thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. What can we say? Long life "Hummelbude"!
