Nick McKenna★★★As my initial review was deleted upon request of the owner (?) but re-instated after my appeal, I would like to give a bit more details for my rating. I have been visiting this place few times per year over the last 25 years; always for family functions. It is a classic "Ausflugslokal" with an impressive view over Herford and the hills of Ostwestfalen. Style and interieur is 1950-1960ies, clean, a bit old, nothing fancy, but also nothing "cheap". There are some big rooms for your functions, food is average, meaning not outstanding but also not bad. Deutsche Küche = meat + potatoes/vegetables.
