C C★★★★★Café Riquet in downtown Leipzig is truly a great place to be and one of those cafés that is not only about coffee and cake, but about atmosphere, history, and experience. The location is excellent, right in the city center and very close to the Steigenberger Hotel, which makes it a perfect stop for breakfast, coffee, tea, or a relaxed afternoon break while exploring Leipzig. The café is located in the historic Riquet House, built in 1908/1909 for Riquet & Co., a company known for importing fine products such as tea, coffee, and chocolate. The building is also famous for its Art Nouveau charac
Sven Oliver★★★After a stroll through town, we decided to stop for a quick indulgence — and this café, with its tempting pastry display, drew us in. We ordered a slice of the house specialty and one of the nougat cake, accompanied by a cup of tea and a coffee. At these prices, one would expect more care and attention to detail — especially when it comes to presentation. The drinks were decent
Patrícia★The café itself is undeniably beautiful, with a charming atmosphere and an impressive display of cakes. At first glance, it looks like the perfect spot. Unfortunately, the reality does not match the appearance. The cakes, although visually appealing, were extremely dry, dense, and not moist at all, far from the quality one would expect. The bruschetta was also very disappointing: just a slice of bread with chopped tomatoes on top, not even toasted. The service was, unfortunately, one of the worst parts of the visit. If you are not from here, do not trust the positive reviews. The staff was v
Elyana Karo★★★★★What a really unexpected surprise! The café was beautifully furnished with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel instantly relaxed. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and so well presented. And the cake – it was truly outstanding, the perfect finish to the meal. A place I’d be more than happy to return to again.
