We tried Erbil (Iraqi spot) and overall it was… fine, but a bit disappointing compared to the hype. I had the lamb & beef kebab — one skewer for €12, which felt expensive. The meat itself was genuinely nice, well cooked and tasty, but there just wasn’t much of it. They bring a naan-style flatbread and a complimentary soup, which is a nice touch… but that’s basically it. My wife had the lamb with biryani rice. Erbil is an absolute gem in Berlin! The food is phenomenal — fresh, flavorful, and made from whole ingredients with real home-cooking from scratch. The prices are great for the quality you get. We loved it so much that we ate here every single day of our vacation (6 days in a row). It’s a family-run restaurant, and the energy is contagious. Mahmoud and his brother were top notch — always warm, courteous, and accommodating. They even remembered our orders and made sure my wife, who has gluten and lactose intolerance, was well taken care of. We truly felt like family every time we walked in.

The food is super delicious. We had the small dip plate with the bread. Lamb grilled with Biryani and a soup. There is also a small soup included as service and the fresh Ayak was super good. Totally recommend ♥️
