This is the oldest restaurant in Berlin and we made a reservation ahead of time. We ordered the Spargelcremesuppe (Cream of Asparagus Soup), Eingelegtes Gemüse (Pickled Vegetables), Kohlwickel (German Cabbage Rolls), Königsberger Klopse, along with a Jubiläums-Pilsner beer. The service was among the best we experienced in Berlin. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and genuinely cheerful throughout the meal, which made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. A time-honored institution in Berlin. An old building that retains the atmosphere and charm of a bygone era. The service is excellent; the wine list is small but features some wonderful German wines. The food is presented in a modern style with an emphasis on quality, though it’s not the kind of extraordinary cuisine that blows your mind. That said, it’s great for trying out modern takes on German dishes. You should definitely go.

“I visited the oldest restaurant in Berlin!” Pretty cool thing to say eh. Rly good food & fantastic portions! Everything was so delicious - I loved the pork knuckle, meatballs & risotto! The cheese dumplings were also very unique. Did find the duck a bit dry though
