Found this place while visiting Christmas markets. Service was good and food was really good. Don’t typically order steak, glad I did. Filet was worth it. Fresh salad and skillet veggies. Not the best choice of wines and/or drink menu, but not worth taking off points for.

We have visited this restaurant three times for business dinners, and every visit has been excellent. If you are visiting Nuremberg and want to enjoy great meat, this is definitely a place you should try. And do not leave without ordering the crème caramel for dessert, it is fantastic.

Our first meal in Nuremberg was at Block House, stumbled upon while the boys were craving meat. They ordered the Hereford ribeye and mushroom steak , juicy and tender. The fresh salad, garlic bread, and baked potato with sour cream rounded out the meal perfectly. Our server, Steffi, was attentive and thoughtful. Noticing I wasn’t feeling well, she recommended the hearty Bull Soup, which was spot on. The boys ended with apple strudel and ice cream which was great. Highly recommended for good food and warm service.

We are on a side-questing eating lava cakes around the world. Here is our review of lava cake number 19, which we ate here: Date: 01.08.2024 Rating (out of 5): 4 ⭐️ This lava cake had lava! It was very similar to the lava cake we had at Block House in Berlin: really good berry jam, a physalis fruit as decoration, and whipped cream. The one from today, however, also had a scoop of vanilla ice cream - but we in it realized after that we had to pay 2€ extra for it lol.
