This trattoria feels like a time capsule. The decor and menu probably haven’t changed in years. You’ll start your meal with a hard boiled egg and shot of sweet wine, supposedly a tradition that started to prevent people getting too drunk. The food is pretty average — sauce is a little basic, grilled fish wasn’t super fresh, pizzas looked questionable — but the bread (and service) were nice and warm. Prices were clearly indicated on the menu and there were no surprises on the bill, unlike what other reviews said.

Fantastic, delicious, and authentic experience for me and my family! We came with a party of 10 and no reservation. They fit us in and were very attentive. They cooked everything fresh and provided excellent recommendations. We wanted traditional Sicilian cuisine and it was fantic. Particularly enjoyed the appetizers, bread, and Swordfish! The staff was also super friendly!
