Babel Bay at Zaitouna Bay in Beirut is a very nice Lebanese seafood restaurant offering a pleasant dining experience by the waterfront. The ambiance is elegant and comfortable, making it a great place for both casual and special occasions. The staff were amazing and very hospitable, and the service throughout our visit was attentive and professional. The food was overall very tasty and well prepared. We especially loved the apple salad, which was excellent, and the hommus was truly exceptional. We also tried the shrimp fatteh, shrimp Provençal, batata harra, fresh crabs, and grilled lokkouz fish, all of which were enjoyable and fresh. The only downside is that prices are quite high, but the quality of food, service, and location still make it a very enjoyable experience overall.

The food, as always, was delicious. Even on a public holiday, the level of service didn’t drop—a rare thing in Beirut. And the small touches, like the presentation of the hot towels, continue to reflect the elegance and consistency that Babel is known for. If I may offer a gentle suggestion or two: • For raw fish dishes, a bit of ice underneath would help keep things perfectly fresh—especially during warmer weather. • And for the bread service, maybe consider placing the hot bread separately from any plastic-wrapped items, just to maintain that premium feel and avoid unnecessary contact with heat

Impeccable service. Our fish took a bit long to arrive but they apologized several times without us even complaining, very thoughtful. The food is really good and the presentation is nice. They also serve dessert and fruits at the end and it is really good! I love the hot towel they give at the end. It is definitely a very very high end restaurant. Highly recommended for tourists. The only thing I did not like was the wara2 3enab as it wasn’t as tasteful as expected.
