First time at Cafe Paloma at the recommendation of a friend who had good experience. It was a special birthday celebration and we were excited to see what was in store especially after all the positive reviews. First let me say that the food when finally got to the table was very tasty and well presented. However the service and the internal communication made it a very frustrating experience. Very cozy restaurant but unfortunately the food was disappointing. My tacos were too spicy to my liking but even putting that aside, it just didn’t have as much flavor as I would expect. My T-Bone was very fatty but dry at the same time. The beans that were served on the Seabass were flavorless and everything always had some spicy sauce on it. Another disappointing moment was the waiting time in between the starter and the main, we waited for maybe an hour to get our main dishes and ate really late… The wine was good, the apple juice was also nice and freshly squeezed. We had dinner at Paloma in The Hague on a Friday night and it really exceeded our expectations. All the dishes were well prepared, very tasty, and had a nice fresh flavor. The staff were friendly and attentive, checking in to make sure everything was going well. You could tell they cared about the food and about giving guests a good experience. It was our first time visiting Paloma, and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a great evening and will definitely come back.
