Venlo was always my little getaway spot during my stay in Europe. I loved the people and the overall atmosphere tremendously. Hotel PUUR was always my go to as well. The location was fantastic and they were always accommodating, even provided me a little fan when I couldn’t sleep. I miss my little slice of paradise.

I stayed with my wife in this hotel for 5 days. Very good location in the center of old city and its main advantage of this hotel. Places to eat and drink are very close and there a lot of them. Especially it was beautifull during Christmas and NY time. The breakfast is good, tasty and dining room is very nicely decorated. Personnel were quite friendly and helpful. The room was small room with comfortable bed and panoramic windows. Noise isolation of the rooms is not quite good, you can hear everything happening in neighbors. The staff were fantastic but the hotel could do with some serious updating. The rooms were very poorly insulated so you could hear everything that was going on in other rooms. There is also a clock very close to the hotel that chimes the hours on the hour and every half hour, this continues throughout the night so don't plan on getting much sleep.

Rooms not too flashy, but staff exceptionally friendly and sympathetic, Asian kitchen outstanding, price very fine for this location. Quiet despite being in the middle of town, felt great to hear an old carillon nearby, a few jackdaws, wild pigeons and even an owl early at night. Breakfast with good coffee.
