Unfortunately, very poor service. We were two people, and our meals arrived at very different times: my dish after 5 minutes, my partner’s only after 30 minutes – and my food was cold. Drinks were neither served before nor with the meal and never arrived during our visit. Truly disappointing.

Last Friday, we visited Umami Sushi again, as we come here quite often because the food is always absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The interior also looks stylish and well designed, which normally makes it a great place to dine. Unfortunately, this visit was genuinely shocking to us. During service, a couple from the staff repeatedly sat together kissing and cuddling instead of focusing on guests. It felt very unprofessional and created an uncomfortable atmosphere in the restaurant. Despite that disappointing experience, the quality of the food itself was still excellent.

The food was not very authentic, the yakitori chicken was beneath average. It’s also a shame they added the same sauce to all the dishes we ordered, all of them. It gave all the food the same taste. Unclear why a restaurant would do that. The rolls were good but better without the sauce. The girl that served us was very kind. I was not very clear when I ordered the yakitori and she brought 3x3 skewers while I wanted just 3 skewers. She was willing to take 2 back, which was nice. For me it was a bit overpriced for the quality. The restaurant is probably a chain which never helps with neither qu
