Set within the St Regis, which opened in October 2024, Stage Bar is a sophisticated, intimate space overlooking the resort’s stunning pools and architecture. The evening atmosphere is relaxed, glamorous and effortlessly chic. The perfect place for a slow, refined drink. What truly makes this bar special is the extraordinary commissioned artwork behind the bar. The entire wall has been hand painted by artist Hassan Meer, depicting his hometown of Mutrah in a vibrant, modern and colourful style. It is not just decor, it is a story. A beautiful tribute to Omani heritage through contemporary art. I enjoyed a glass of crisp Pinot Grigio followed by a perfectly balanced Negroni, paired with edamame for a light and relaxed evening drink. Their Google map is updated to 1900. Says they are open till 3. Entering at 1 45 someone in a Polo shirt co firms and disapperars. It was clearly closed. Amazing but somehow glacial, this St Regis. We live here and are frequent and I would add good spending customers. I asked the 'manager' about the yes but nos. Response; clearly they were closed. In the place I own, I would have killed myself with tutorials to make these guys a drink (which I would have kindly declined). We needed no way out as we knew it. Oh: but tomorrow they are opened. Duh.

Wir haben am "Champagne Sabering" teilgenommen – einer abendlichen Tradition in allen St. Regis Hotels weltweit, bei der eine Champagnerflasche mit einem Säbel geöffnet wird. Leider gab es dabei keinen Champagner, was mich als Liebhaber dieses Getränks natürlich enttäuscht hat. Dennoch ist das Ritual sehr eindrucksvoll, und ich nehme daran in jedem St. Regis Hotel auf der Welt teil, wann immer ich zu Gast bin.
