⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ La Cathedral Cafe is one of those places where the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. Tucked beside the Manila Cathedral in the heart of Intramuros, it perfectly captures the charm and history of Old Manila while giving you a wonderful place to relax and recharge. The crispy pata... mmmmmm. Crispy on the outside, fall-apart tender on the inside, and exactly what I was hoping for after wandering the Walled City. Absolutely delicious. What really tied it all together was the vibe. Relaxed, welcoming, and full of character, with a waitstaff that was genuinely friendly and attentive without hovering. They made the whole experience feel unhurried and enjoyable. Great food, great service, and one of my favorite places to slow down and soak in the magic of Intramuros. 🇵🇭🐷☕

Been eyeing this place for a while because of the overlooking Cathedral yet got a bit disappointed as most of the church lights weren’t turned on. Not the cafe’s fault but something to take note of if you have the same goal as me. Moreover, the cafe is located at the 4th floor so would be challenging if you have any mobility issues. 4⭐️ because of their service and the ambience. We went for dinner around 8pm on Wed so there weren’t a lot of customers around. The staff were attentive and the service was fast. The cafe is really a good date night place. Foodwise? It was mid for something expensive. We ordered pork steak solo (370) and beef nachos (355). I have no qualms with the nachos as it fit the price —large, lots of toppings and beef [see hand comparison]. However, the pork steak was a disappointment. In their defense it was tender… but bland. The cake was dry, although the ambiance was nice. I personally liked the atsara—it was one of the highlights of the meal. It’s been a while since we visited, but I still wanted to leave a review. The drinks and pastries we had were great, and we really enjoyed them. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. We absolutely loved the space, ambiance, and atmosphere. We didn’t try anything other than matcha and pastries, but we’ll surely explore more when we come back.
