This restaurant in Mem Martins near Sintra offers a classic Portuguese menu with petiscos and an extended meat selection all in generous servings (a main dish easily serves two), a short wine list with informal and efficient service in a traditional ambiance. We were 2 for dinner that had the couvert, a fresh tomato and cheese salad with oregano, prego no prato with egg and fries, secretos with homemade chilli, a baba de camelo with flaked almonds, waters and coffees for €25/pax.

For those of you that enjoy meat then Sr Prego will be a restaurant you will enjoy. They also have aged dry steaks available if you like your steaks extra tender and more tasty. For the fish eaters there is also a few dishes to choose from. The staff were very friendly and the prices are reasonable for a quality steak. The toblerone dessert I tried was also very good. Outside there is client parking area as well as street parking.

Had no reservation, waited 30min outside. Food took other 45min to arrive but was well conditioned and tasty. Recommend “bolo de bolacha” and an expresso which are delicious. Other than the waiting time (unlucky) everything was good
