This was our first meal in Faro and was really unforgettable. Their local specialities are fresh and appetising served with huge portions of seafoods. Before getting our bills around their close-up time, the staff greeted us with Portuguese liquor, very fruity and sweet. We were a bit skeptical at first because of some reviews about the owner, but honestly, he seemed perfectly fine to us 👍 He may not speak much English, but just pointing at the menu works! Unique experience, truly very special personality, chef and server. Full of stories. One has to get used to Carlos and let him be. Then it's all good. Superb grilled bass, great rice dishes. Grilled prawns also great. Very cheap. Carlos speaks 8 languages. Not touristy, very genuine.
