I recently visited with my family for a special dine-out to celebrate an important moment, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. We ordered stuffed vegetables and biryani. While the stuffed vegetables were fine, the biryani was extremely disappointing—it was essentially plain rice and did not resemble biryani at all. It should not be listed as biryani on the menu. Considering the price of 44–45 SAR per serving, this was unacceptable. I believe Tofereya should refund the amount charged for the biryani.

A beautiful vibe going on at this restaurant. I went on Founding Day and it was spectacular seeing the Local people wearing their traditional dress. Loved it so much! ❤️ About the food they have great portions, a nice menu to choose traditional Arabic food however, they had a big selection of soups but only one was available available that was disappointing. The taste was okay, will come back to try other items. The price was reasonable. 🇸🇦

The food here was amazing, it was suggested to us by a local for our last meal in Saudi as a very traditional restaurant, each dish was delicious and the staff was very welcoming and attentive. Our waiter Robiul was excellent and was very attentive and quick to take care of any requests, and was very good and helping to suggest food options and the meals he suggested were excellent! We had the beef kabli, the meat was very tender and the seasoning was wonderful. We also had the Mecca basbousa with cream and it was delicious, don’t miss it for a traditional Saudi dessert!

✨ 4 stars - Come hungry, leave culturally fulfilled (and mildly financially lighter) Welcome to Tofareya, where traditional Saudi dishes are served with a side of nostalgia and VAT. • Margog – 42 SAR: Tasted like grandma made it… if grandma had access to premium ingredients and a 15% tax rate. • Mosaqaa’ah – 29 SAR: The eggplant was dramatic, almost as dramatic as my emotional baggage. • Chicken Saleeq – 47 SAR: Creamy, comforting, and so filling I briefly considered canceling my next therapy session. • Red Jaresh – 42 SAR: A dish that said, “I’m old-school, but I work well with a modern palate and a good spoon.” 💸 Total damage: 160 SAR (including a 20.87 SAR VAT because… Saudi math). The ambiance? Rustic chic meets “mom’s living room if she had an Instagram account.” Service was warm, portions generous, and yes — they printed your receipt like it’s your birth certificate. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would my wallet cry a little? Probably. Worth it? You bet.!!
