We had heard a lot about Cervecería Catalana and decided to try it — honestly, it was worth the hype. Everything we ordered was excellent. The octopus tapas were probably our favorite, super tender and full of flavor. The calamari was fresh, mushrooms and asparagus were great, and even the simple dishes were done really well. This place is a massive hotspot! They don’t take any reservations, you absolutely have to arrive early to queue up. The average wait time is easily over 30 minutes. My advice is to put your name down early and explore the area; the restaurant is tucked away just off a main avenue, surrounded by plenty of great shops and other restaurants to pass the time. On our last visit, we waited nearly 60 minutes. The atmosphere outside was absolutely fantastic and well worth the wait. The seafood here is highly recommended. This is definitely a hot spot Spanish Tapas and Paella dishes! Be sure to place your name on the waitlist and wait for about 20-30 minutes (the hostess will provide you with an accurate time frame). The biggest challenge is waiting for your name to be called. There is a spacious outdoor seating and the indoor seating area is deceptively large. Amazing food and even better service. Our server, Amaya, truly made the experience unforgettable. When we asked for recommendations, he simply said, “Trust me—just tell me if there’s anything you don’t eat.” From that moment on, he took care of everything, and every single dish he chose blew us away. The bacalao was incredible, the patatas bravas were perfectly done, and the jamón ibérico was top quality.
