An amazing restaurant. Delicious food. Friendly service. Excellent wine list. Great desserts. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Very traditional Leonese. Very much a locals place, which is great given some of the high concentration of tourists at other establishments. Reservations are strongly recommended to the point of being a necessity.

It's the third visit to Leon, and now I had the best experience here, at Restaurante Alfonso Valderas. We were very lucky to have a free table on the first day of January. You can call before and reserve a table, I recommend that. Please think about your stay, take time for a long time because the dishes are magnificent, especially bacalao/codfish. Choose all the starters and share - you will be happy. They have a great list of wines, I recommend El Medico (even though it is red dry and you want to order fish). Thanks Mr for that great experience!
