On the plus side: spacious, clean and air-conditioned. On the minus: my octopus “poke” salad came with the unexpected (and unwelcome) addition of cheese cubes and croutons, neither of which were mentioned on the menu. The actual octopus slices could be counted with the fingers of one hand. All very fresh and I was hungry (and happy to be sitting down) so ate it leaving the unwanted ingredients to one side. I had visited the IVAM for 3 hours. It was 15 minutes before closing time. I still had to wait for my friend to arrive at 17:00 and I was hungry. And I received the kindest service (I tried to speak Spanish). And we made a pleasant chat. And although almost closing time I got the most delicious 2 tostadas. One with aubergine and banana? The other one with soft mozzarella cheese, anchovies, and tomato. The barman asked me if I wanted ice and lemon in my drink. I mean wow the taste and service! And the price was totally okay. € 5 something.
