Ce qu'en disent les gens

The ambience is great and a good view from 2nd floor to take photo of Miyahara. We had lunch and ordered a few dishes. The pork with bun is excellent. Service rendered by 瑜晴is impeccable, friendly and customer oriented.
The food did not disappoint. There’s complementary taro chips and nuts while we looked through their menu. The food are served beautifully the way the pastries are on the floor below. The veggies are fresh and sautéed well. The afternoon tea looks very inviting but that may be for another day.
The wait staff were very friendly, patient, and attentive. The dishes we ordered were tasty, but not amazing given the price. I would still recommend this restaurant due to it's convenient location, service, and the gift and tea shop downstairs.

Terry Ding★★★★★

An architectural masterpiece with art on a plate. Dining at Moon Pavilion inside the iconic Miyahara building is a must-do in Taichung. If you want to experience the stunning, "Harry Potter-esque" interior of this historic 1927 eye clinic without the chaos of the takeaway ice cream lines downstairs, this is the place to be. The Experience: • Atmosphere (5/5): Absolutely breathtaking. The restoration is world-class, featuring towering wooden bookshelves and a magical, nostalgic vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It is easily one of the most unique dining environments in the city. • Presentation (5/5): The plating is truly a work of art. Every dish is served with meticulous attention to detail, turning traditional Taiwanese flavors into sophisticated, sculptural compositions. It is a visual feast that sets a high bar for dining. • Taste (4/5): The food is refined, comforting, and well-executed. While it may not be the most "revolutionary" flavor profile you've eve

The food was decent, but what really stood out was the excellent service and cozy ambiance. I went for the afternoon tea menu, which offers something a bit different from their usual fare and yes they had chili cheese fries. Who can resist? 😆 When it comes to Michelin-starred spots, I’m not easily impressed. So far, I’ve only handed one five-star review.

A lovely place with great ambience and service. All dishes are well plated and definitely delivered an experience. The braised pork and the stir-fried vegetable were very good. The pork was well seasoned and cooked, and didn’t feel the greasiness. The Taiwan snack combo could have been better though. The fried turnip cake was not puffy enough and a bit hard on the pastry. The ube cake came with sticky rice which was ok. The calamari was very impressive though, the ingredients and the crispiness were right on point. The ice cream was nice, not too sweet and can tasted the ingredients well. Choices of add on to garnish and compliment were served, another great experience. This was a great dish to finish. No doubt they offered excellent service here. Tried ordering just a bottle of sparkling water and was felt liked serving champagne. The servers were no doubtedly helpful and polite and the ambience was cool to be. Not over priced and definitely worth visiting in this par

Excellent service and great food. We recommend the signature stewed pork with soya bean skin, sliced sea bass with spring onion, fried bitter gourd, signature big prawn and Ice Cream bowl. Staff is very polite and attentive. They have english menu if you cannot read chinese.

This taiwanese restaurant is on the second floor of the Miyahara pastry shop a couple of blocks from the Taichung Train station. The food is great and the ambience is phenomenal. The shop/restaurant is housed in an old colonial building that has been restored and renovated. Gorgeous space. Everything we ordered was delicious. I have been here several times and never had a bad meal there. Be sure to get the ice cream sundae for dessert too. It's amazing.
