Yesterday, 6th January 2026, I went for, what I thought would be, a pleasant lunch with a friend. Once seated my friend happened to be phoned by another friend of his. He arranged that his friend would come to join us. The friend soon arrived, came over to greet us and went to order his coffee. After a while we realised he hadn't come to join us. My friend saw where he'd gone and I asked him to go and get him. While he was away, I pulled an empty chair from the unoccupied next table, that had five chairs. The next thing I know is that a member of staff came over and put the chair back. I was t

Absolutely disgusting service, ordered a coffee and drinks to sit in, they accepted and I sat with a friend then just minutes later one worker came and told us to leave, we asked why she said we have customers that want a table to eat. So what are we doing? Aren’t we paying customers, it’s vile service. Spoke to another worker she said oh my colleague was asked by the manager and said to ask you to leave as we have more customers coming to eat. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing we got food to sit in and paid now couple minutes in you want us to leave? Waste of money for such disgusting and

I came here for breakfast today. The service and the food were ok but I noticed that on the hygiene side of things, it is not good at all. 1) the cup where I got my flat white was dirty of coffee (it was dry so not a spill of what was inside). 2) I noticed staff playing and caressing dogs. Now, the dogs will be vaccinated and clean but still it is not hygienic if you are touching food, cups and plates without washing your hands thouroughly soon after. The sanitising gel is NOT ENOUGH after touching dogs. They can still carry bacteria and diseases. Wash your hands with hot water, soap for 2 min

Delighted that the cafe was open ahead of schedule. Croissant with jam and a flat white served with tablet. Friendly welcome and quick service. Seems to be dog friendly and there are a number of outside tables in the good weather. Excellent partnership with the church whose building the cafe is in.
