This is easily one of my favourite spots in Balham, the pizzas are just incredible. Super authentic Italian with loads of great options to choose from! We kicked things off with the truffle arancini (an absolute must if you visit) and then both went for pizzas. I had the carbonara pizza which I’ve ordered a few times now and honestly can’t move away from it’s that good. My partner chose the al carne and we both left completely satisfied. The service is always exceptional and they also give great red wine recommendations, which just tops off the whole experience. Caminata you’ve got my heart

A wonderful evening spent in Caminata with friends celebrating a birthday. Great service and a big round table! Pizza was incredible. Although nothing special to celebrate the birthday which is always a lovely touch.

We are visiting our daughter in London and she took us to this very nice small Italian restaurant in Balham. I began with a Campari Spritz (a first for me, but a natural choice for a hot afternoon for a Negroni lover), we had the pizza Vegetariana (half Vegan, no cheese) as appetizer and it wad delicious. As a main I had the Toscana Gnocchi, I thought it was a big plate and ended up eating all of it, it was delicious. My husband had the fish of the day (sea bass) and it was a colorful, savory plate. Food here is amazing. Such a shame the waitress at the front today is rude and unwelcoming, she gave horrible attitude before sitting down and looks like all the other customers weren’t too happy with her either. Other than that the food is good and the rest of the staff is amazing. Such a shame that I have to leave a review like this based on bad staff. Just thought the restaurant as a whole should know this because it’s definitely driving away others too.
