My friends and I dine regularly at the Toby Carvery in Borehamwood. The restaurant consistently offers a good selection of meats and vegetables, and the overall quality of the food is usually very good. However, on this occasion, the meal was only lukewarm, including the gravy, and I would have preferred it to be served hotter. The location is convenient, being close to the main town centre, and it benefits from free parking shared with the adjacent Travelodge. Had a really lovely meal at Toby Carvery today (18/01/26). All of the meat selections were fresh and cooked nicely, and the pigs in blankets were really tasty. The vegetables and mash were full of flavour and tasted fresh, and the roast potatoes were extra good and perfectly crispy. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service at this branch - it’s always very well organised. A special mention to our server Josh, who was incredibly helpful and kind. He even brought me extra gravy in a gravy boat as I was in a wheelchair at the time after surgery, which was really appreciated. Great food and great

Came on 30th June with my family and had an amazing experience. The gentleman that served us, Ross was fantastic, went above and beyond, especially when it came to trying to order for our ADHD son who has sensory processing issues. You made our meal and our very long trip worth it! He definitely deserves a raise!
