The sauces and flavouring they use are genuinely addictive, and the wings are consistently cooked well. I also appreciate that they sometimes add an extra wing if a few are smaller, which feels fair and thoughtful. Absolutely shocking service at Pepes Leeds Road. I ordered early to avoid the iftaar rush, paid, and was told my food was ready — only to then be told they’d missed my order. Ended up breaking my fast in the car on the way home. They also forgot a portion of chips. When I got home, the chicken wings were raw — red and bloody inside. Clearly rushed. I had family waiting with no food, so I had to finish cooking them in the air fryer myself. Called the manager and he refused a refund or compensation because I’d “had some” of the food. The food here is delicious. Hot & fresh. Unfortunately the staff aren’t very pleasant and friendly. They were speaking to each other in their own language about me and I understood what they were saying as I do know a bit of the language myself and it wasn’t nice what they said. The restaurant was full so I didn’t say anything or make an issue.
