After some searching online we decided to go to Brook Kitchen and we were not Disappointed!! We were on holiday in south Devon, are first port of call was Breakfast after a fairly early start. I had a full English Breakfast which was beautifully presented, and was really nice, it cost a little more then I'd normally pay, but totally worth it!! My Wife had a sausage sandwich which was also really nice, our Niece had French Toast. Which was also made to a very high standard. What a wonderful Saturday early evening dinner! Angela and her wonderful team, including the simply lovely waitresses and a terrific new chef, did a wonderful job for the four of us …plus our dog. 18/3/26 Updated: What a turnaround for this cafe. New owners, new barista and the coffee is easily the best in Budleigh Salterton now. Way more people going here now, plus more of the laptop lifestyles working aswell. Got a way better vibe to it now. I've tried every other cafe all the way to Exmouth, and there's nowhere better than here for coffee. Haven't tried the food, but judging by the increase in people going here eating, you won't be disappointed. 13/5/23 Update: Good things are happening here. A lovely place for breakfast. Food is exceptional. We had breakfast. The decor is tasteful with an arty kind of atmosphere with poetry nights being advertised, lovely paintings, books and even a piano. A relaxing and very tasteful place to eat or have a coffee.
