Little, tucked-away café, blissfully free of background music, with smiling, friendly and helpful staff and ‘regulars’ who seem to be known and recognised by the staff. The coffee was disappointing: there’s better available in Cambridge. The sweet options are fine, if not outstanding (a variety of bars and slices), likewise savoury panini, quiche, pasties and salad. Takeaway available. Seating is all tall bar stools and high tables so not great for small children, buggies, people with mobility issues, wheelchairs.

I got the meal deal which was a soup and a sandwich for about £10 if I remember correctly. The food was perfectly acceptable but I really went here because other reviews said the service was great. They were right! Definitely the most welcoming staff that I encountered in Cambridge, a breath of fresh air. There was one vegetarian soup and one non-vegetarian soup. A couple vegetarian sandwiches to choose from. Pretty busy for a weekday lunch, but nice to stop by.

I haven’t been here for a long while and it’s still cozy and friendly little cafe :) The uplifting atmosphere as well as the hearty food made my day. My first time trying the beautiful panini here, which has been tempting me for years. The crust is perfectly crunchy and the pastrami and pesto and mozzarella get along so well inside. So many lovely options of quiches and paninis and blackboard menu. I’ll start to come back more often XD I don’t know why my old review is gone but yeah their quiches are delicious.
