I had seen this venue advertised on social media and I am pleased to have experienced both the food and the atmosphere. The pub was super busy and crowded and yet at the same time it was a great vibe. We visited whilst the Rugby was on and this did not hamper our experience at all, in fact it was pleasant to eat and watch the match...stayed for two matches.. and enjoy great food. I definitely recommend coming to The Alma. It’s quite hard nowadays to find a pub that does fantastic food and has a great vibe - this is it! I had a Picante (which was excellent), the lamb scotch egg, the cote de boeuf Sunday roast, and my partner and I shared the sticky toffee pudding. Literally, it was all SO good! I had asked for extra gravy as well as extra potatoes which they happily provided free of charge. Staff (in particular Liga) were friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to come back!

Our generous and kind son put us up at the Alma for the night, It was absolutely fabulous! The room was spotlessly clean, fitted out with absolutely beautiful furnishings and such a comfortable bed. The wonderful Izzy on the front desk was so welcoming and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this beautiful place whether you pop in for a drink, something to eat or are fortunate enough to stay the night!

Booked last minute. Beautiful London pub. Great greeting from bar staff and then the resturant host. Food piping hot. Main meal beautifully cooked, mince and Guiness pie, with a perfect pastry crust. Thanks to everyone for our evening. Only one tiny tiny request..more samphire!
