Really disappointed with our meal tonight. Since the restaurant changed ownership, the quality of the food has seriously gone downhill. Dishes that used to be really nice, saucy and flavoursome. Their DV8 chips used to be their signature dish and something we always looked forward to, but this time they were really poor — the meat was dry and overcooked, and the whole dish just lacked the quality it used to have. Table booked on New Year’s Eve for my husband and myself, we were seated and offered menu’s on arrival, the restaurant was very busy with it being New Year’s Eve, but have to say the service, food and drinks were amazing, we are regulars at DV8 mostly having food and drinks in the garden area as we tend to have our dogs with us, the food and service was by far the best we have ever experienced, staff were attentive and friendly especially Alfie who made our experience most enjoyable.

Booked in for Sunday dinner 5:30 made our way upstairs sat down and got brought menus 2 minutes later we were asked to move seats due to remmi all of a sudden wanting to clean the tables around us I asked if we could stay seated in the seats we were in due to not wanting to move as the kids were settled were they were remmi became very abrupt with us and the other member of staff (Alisha) who was lovely! and shouted you can serve them!!! I came today with my mum, partner and daughter, food was excellent, I had the roast beef dinner and it was 10/10 and I’m very hard to please! Crème brûlée was gorgeous too! Staff were super friendly, got a really nice table by the window, everything was perfect, thank you for making my Mother’s Day meal so special!
