Couldn't possibly say enough good things about The Lane – charming tucked-away location, wonderfully kind and lovely people, gorgeous room (and courtyard!), and the Vegan Menu is to die for, top to bottom. (And, for cruelty-free people, absolutely the best dining – breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner – anywhere in Deal.) Stumbled on it initially, delightedly kept coming back.

Had a lovely breakfast at The Lane! Was within walking distance of the flat I rented for Christmas 🎄 Friendly staff and the food was gorgeous! I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious! Recommend to book ahead as space inside is limited and it's blustery cold to sit outside!

We came for the Wicked themed afternoon tea and it was incredible. All of the decorations were amazing - even the music was from the Wicked soundtrack. There was table entertainment and the themed mocktail was beautiful! The servers were brilliant, helping take our photo, providing fresh plates and cutlery and keeping our drinks topped up. Would highly recommend!

We loved this spot! The food was delicious - who knew a harissa, hot honey halloumi salad could taste so amazing. And the staff were really friendly with our 13 month old daughter. Definitely recommend. We snuck in on a Saturday at 12pm but everyone aftee us couldn't get a table so definitely recommend booking.
