We stayed at this hotel from 24 May 2026 until 30 May 2026, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, our final morning left a sour taste that cost the hotel a perfect score. Let’s start with the bad news. On our last day, around 10:00 AM during breakfast, we were served by a bartender whose name I unfortunately don’t know. He was bald, overweight, and carried himself with the confidence of a man who apparently believes he is the leading authority on hospitality in all of London. I recently visited The Spread Eagle and had a wonderful experience. The pub looked especially charming with its beautiful Christmas decorations, which made the atmosphere feel warm and festive. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the evening, adding to the overall great vibe. I ordered the pork T-bone, which was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. It was definitely the highlight of my meal. Overall, it was a lovely evening, and I’d happily return. Highly recommended!

We recently had our wedding breakfast at the Spread Eagle, and we honestly cannot put into words just how incredible the entire experience was. Another great Yongs pub with some good old school soundtracks. Plenty of large seating areas and beautiful refurbishment done. Just a bit quiet these days but all the good choices of beers and wines. Sunday lunch ch used to be incredible albeit expensve here although the last couple of times we have decided not to go back due to a real drop in food quality but still the high prices. Haven't stayed in the rooms here but they look lovely and theres some amazing deals to be had.
