Fantastic little craft/real ale pub. Nice selection of beers, enough to be interesting but, not so many as to overwhelm. Quirky little interior with lots of nooks. Outside seating is nice addition, with most of it covered by a marquee in case of some British weather. Live music on some nights. Staff were friendly and relatively knowledgeable on the beers. Will visit again when next in East Grinstead.

Head-and-shoulders the best bar, not only in East Grinstead, but for miles around for those who know about beer and want to experience it at its very best. Their ever-changing casks are kept in excellent condition, their CAMRA plaudits are well earned and are (for once) clearly earned on merit as opposed to the currying of favour from locals, the service is both knowledgeable and friendly... Honestly, for once I have absolutely no idea how the place could be improved. Top marks.

Found this little gem by accident while wandering around East Grinstead following a hospital appointment locally. A Friday afternoon and it was so welcoming. Sarah behind the bar with a group of very friendly Friday locals - snacks on the bar as well. Tapas with drinks on Sundays. Downstairs with lots if small little cubby holes to drink in. Beer flights available and extremely dog friendly with water and biscuits provided. What's not to love. There is an Oktoberfest with seceral local bands, planned for 25-27 Sept and l would seriously consider attending if l wasn't away on holiday. I l
