Hands down my favorite place in Edinburgh, no question about it! 🧟‍♂️⚡️🖤I’d heard about the show they put on in the evenings, and somehow I managed to catch it twice in one night. It was absolutely incredible and made the whole experience even more memorable. The venue itself is such a cool concept, and the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else I visited in the city. A big shoutout to the bar staff as well, everyone was super friendly. The security guard at the entrance was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better!:)

I don’t really know how to feel about this place, because everybody before my trip said that I should visit this pub, but after going there I wouldn’t recommend it that much. Firstly you need a reservation which comes with a 80£ fine if you don’t cancel it before 24h. But the show itself isn’t that great, it goes on for less than 5 min, the Frankenstein just gets up and that’s all. But looking at it just like a pub it’s fun, the music is good and the drinks are great.

Let’s be honest, you’re coming for the atmosphere, which is really cool and unique, and the cocktails. The food is not bad but it’s the usual bar food: pizzas, fries, and other carb-loaded shareable dipping things—the food selection is very limited and reasonably priced for being a themed restaurant. The Frankenstein act traction is pretty cool. I didn’t have any of the cocktails but the couple behind me was throwing them back, so they must be good. Couple of things: reservations are needed and they take your order at the bar, no table service.

Amazing place with great atmosphere and a cool little show every hour. A must stop if you're a fan or if you would like to experience something fun and unique. We went with our children and they loved it and got a nice little fruit drink. We unfortunately couldn't order food when we went cause the kitchen was closed but the drinks were great. We got The Black Death and the Smoky Hyde cocktails. Both fit the theme well and tasted excellent.
