Used to love eating here, however each year they reduce the menu. This year £10 for a cold sandwich. Almost no hot food at all. Will start bringing our own food from now on.

Although not large (for a former Palace) these garden are very well managed to change through the seasons. Only a small area is formal but the remainder is well landscaped around the half moat which fronts the Palace. With English Heritage membership season visits are cost free.

Service painfully slow. 8 mins to get a coffee and tea, further 20mins for a hot sandwich. The quality of the food and drink when it did come was actually very good.

The cafe is in the grounds of the palace. It looked clean and tidy, decent cake portions, but we only had drinks. Service was quick and friendly.
