As the age old maxim goes: always review your local. Hoppy pilsners, my usual go-to, always possess good selection, and if you’re drinking/dining with the more la-dee-dah pale ale drinking types then they are very well catered for also. The famous specialty pizzas are EXCEPTIONAL all year round, and the Sunday quiz night a good laugh. Plenty of sport whenever one fancies. I love our local Rose and/or Crown I do.

Lovely experience at The Rose and Crown! I visited The Rose and Crown near Tooting Bec Common on Monday and was pleasantly surprised to find it was Pizza Day — pizzas were just £7.50 instead of the usual £12! I had one of their pizzas, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. We also tried the nachos, which were great and came with generous toppings. Decent pub with decent grub. Was pretty busy when I went but sometimes it’s rammed, especially in the summer. It’s a great place to go if you’ve spent time on Tooting Bec Common. Lots of space for groups. Most of the tables are catered for 4-6 so great for getting mates together. Food is mainly pizza based, the pizza I had was pretty tasty. I went for number 10 which had ham and portable mushrooms. The pizza was tasty and the truffle oil was plentiful. Love that they didn’t skimp on that. It’s decent, I’d go again.

Tried out our new local after a day of DIY and couldn’t have been better. The most delicious pizza and lovely staff. We’re more than happy to substitute a topping for me which I really appreciated. 10/10 can’t wait to come back!
