A wonderful pub for a quick or longer stay! We went nearly everyday our entirely stay and were never boring of any food or drink. The staff is friendly, helps out if you have any questions or need recommendations. Foodportions are big enough after a day wandering around the city. Thistly Cross is one of the best ciders, so give it a try when you hop in! The music on weekends was a little bit loud but maybe it's absolutely normal and me as a tourist wasn't used to it.

Love the maltman. Great staff. Highly recommend anyone looking for a good atmosphere to catch up with friends or even go on your own. If I’m town on a Saturday night with the girls this is where I would go. Never any trouble. The dj is brilliant. Food is great too love their steak pie.
